Leeds has a real penchant for deep post-punk over recent years, namely Far Out Favourites Eagulls who honed their talent in the depths of the northern city. Another band now looking to capitalise on the growing scene in Yorkshire is Treeboy & Arc, no further proof is needed of this once you hear their brilliant new track ‘Austere’.
Recorded in Leeds College of Music where they all attend, the band used their free studio time to bolt together an industrial post-punk sound capable of tearing your face off. It has the growls of youth rumbling through every note, as the future looks bleak and the present feels stifling, Treeboy & Arc are looking to burst through it all with ‘Austere’.
The quartet have a number of gigs coming up across the city in the summer and with this kind of power in their capabilities we expect to hear the roar across the country soon.
