Watch Toyah Willcox and Robert Fripp take on iconic Cream hit in latest ‘Sunday Lunch’ video

Toyah Willcox and Robert Fripp have returned with irreverent force to their weekly Sunday Lunch video covers series, this time taking on the iconic Cream hit ‘Sunshine of Your Love’ for its latest instalment.

The husband and wife duo, who began their series on YouTube five years ago, are known for their zany takes on classic rock songs, many of which have previously gone viral. In their latest episode, this energy was no different as they performed a bizarre cover of Cream’s biggest hit from 1967.

Taking the Cream theme quite literally, the King Crimson founder played the song’s iconic riff on his electric guitar while Willcox poured pots of single cream first over her body and then her hair, before embracing her husband at the end of the performance and also covering him in the dairy product.

The hilariously perplexing video was accompanied by the simple caption: “Robert really is the cat who got the cream this week!”

The cover comes as the latest instalment to the Sunday Lunch series, where the couple have also recently taken on hits such as the Ohio Express song ‘Yummy Yummy Yummy’, similarly from the 1960s. In that video, Willcox and Fripp donned psychedelic costumes, wigs, and makeup to add to the experience of the tune they were performing.

Sunday Lunch has proved to be an entertaining outlet for the pair, but particularly Fripp, who revealed that he had suffered a heart attack back in May and had been forced to postpone all work commitments. Thankfully, he has now recovered from the health scare.

For her own part, Willcox is shortly set to embark on a solo tour of the UK, which is set to begin at the Union Chapel in London on October 18th.
