Tom Hiddleston now the bookies favourite to become next James Bond

It appears that Tom Hiddleston is now the odds-on favourite to replace Daniel Craig as the enigmatic icon James Bond 007. The actor known for his role as Loki among others, is down to beat out Tom Hardy and Idris Elba.

With Daniel Craig about to complete his contract as James Bond in the upcoming film, the search for his replacement is hotting up. Tom Hiddleston is now odds-on to take up the Licence to Kill when he retires from the role.

The 37-year-old has seen his odds of 8-1 slashed to 4-5, overtaking favourites Elba and Hardy. A Ladbrokes spokesperson quoted as saying: “It’s looking increasingly likely the name will be Hiddleston; Tom Hiddleston.”

Other than an upcoming appearance as Loki in the new Avengers 4 flick there seems no reason for his recent shortening of odds. Perhaps someone knows more than they’re letting on.
