But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new to called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.”[/su_pullquote]
“Actually, a little inside story, even [Reeves] said — gentle, wonderful guy that he is — ‘This sounds too much like Buzz Lightyear,'” Allen added. “And his character does have an edge to that. And the guy said, ‘So we calmed him down a little bit,’ and they reminded me his toy is only that big.”
Despite not offering more in the specifics of Reeves’ role, Allen did suggest his impact is a brief one.
The film has been given a huge seal of approval from lead and Tom Hanks, who explained the emotion involved will rock avid followers. When asked to give his analysis on the picture by Fallon, Allen turned back to Hanks’ take: “Hanks said it best — of course, he always says stuff best — but the last scene of the movie I couldn’t even get through it,” he said. ”I thought there were pages after it. I read it and I had to turn around from reading it in the studio, it was so emotional. It’s a ‘Scarlett, I don’t give a damn moment.’”
