The White Stripes announce 20th-anniversary edition of ‘De Stijl’ and a host of unreleased music
As we approach the 20th anniversary of The White Stripes’ seminal album De Stijl, the band have announced that the celebration release will arrive with something extra special.
Third Man Records have confirmed that as part of the latest installment in their Vault subscription series. the special edition set will come with a host of unreleased recordings and previously held back rarities.
The series offers listeners the chance to own exclusive releases via a subscription and judging by this latest revelation, is worth every single penny.
The 2xLP set is completed by the rare and unheard songs all on red and white vinyl, packaged in a hardcover case. That’s not the end either, as the release also has with a live DVD and a booklet of photos, flyers, and more.
Among the bonus material included are covers of AC/DC’s ‘Let There Be Rock’ and ‘Dog Eat Dog’ and The Velvet Underground’s ‘After Hours’, plus some of Jack White’s boombox demos.
