‘The White Lotus’ to head to France for season four

The fourth series of The White Lotus is reportedly set to head to a luxury resort in France, as the murder mysteries continue for the HBO series.

According to Deadline, sources close to the show have claimed that the production has secured a partnership with the Four Seasons hotel chain and its Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, which is located on the Cap-Ferrat peninsula on the French Riviera, conveniently close to the Hollywood links of Cannes.

It was also noted that no official location has been fully secured for the shooting. Although The White Lotus has a marketing contract to fulfil with The Four Seasons, its previous series, set in Thailand, was filmed across a range of Four Seasons and non-Four Seasons luxury resorts in Koh Samui.

After the third series wrapped earlier this year, the show’s creator ,Mike White, did drop some hints towards its potential next location. He said: “For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the crashing waves of rocks vernacular but there’s always more room for more murders at the White Lotus hotels.”

However, the cast previously jokingly noted that White reportedly hates being in cold climates, so that seemingly rules out any chance of the show ever swapping the beach for any kind of luxury ski resort.

Following the dramatic conclusion to series three back in April this year, where the mysteries continued off-screen amid rumours of feuds among the cast, no further details have yet been revealed about the direction the show will head in for series four.
