Last night we saw The War on Drugs pay tribute to Toronto living legend Neil Young when they covered his 1977 track from American Stars ‘n Bars, the brilliant ‘Like A Hurricane’ and naturally brought the house down.
The War on Drugs are touring following the release of their album A Deeper Understanding, which came out this August. The album marked a strong influence from Young, who frontman Adam Granduciel in an interview with GRAMMY.com said was an underlying inspiration of all the band.
While Young, as well as re-issuing his 1992 Harvest Moon full-length record, Young has also shared his long-lost 1976 album, Hitchhiker.
