The Voyeurs - Stunners

With a typical Britpop snarling style, The Voyeurs have released their new video to latest single ‘Stunnners’ which will be released on Heavenly Records on Monday 3rd November and it’s our Track of the Day.

Taken from the forthcoming LP ‘Rhubarb Rhubarb‘ it sticks to a more domestic theme. Dealing with the great, the good and the grotesque of our fair isle and turns away from the last album’s NYC roots.

The album title comes from an old English theatrical device – the tradition where the phrase ‘rhubarb, rhubarb’ is used to produce background dialogue on stage and on the TV.
‘There’s a lot of noise around in the world today,’ added Charlie. ‘I was thinking of the idea of making noise but not really saying anything. The idea of “rhubarb, rhubarb” is unscripted background conversation in plays and on television. Today people are commenting on things all the time, commenting in new ways – Twitter and things. But a lot of it’s just more background, another kind of “rhubarb, rhubarb”…’
