The Vaccines duo, Justin Young and Timothy Lanham, have shared a new song from their joint side project Halloweens. The latest taster from their upcoming EP Maserati Anxiety Designed has arrived in the form of ‘Divinity Pools’.
The track comes only a matter of months after the duo released their debut full-length record, Morning Kiss At The Acropolis, and they show no sign of slowing down whilst The Vaccines are ruled out from performing live for the foreseeable future with the new EP slated for a release on August 21st.
Speaking about ‘Divinity Pools’, Young explained: “Divinity Pools was the last song we wrote together before Tim went back to Australia and got stuck there. I love how superlative and extreme love can feel, even with everything else going on in the world, and I think this song is the perfect ode to how hyperbolic it should and could be.
“The arrangement feels really kinetic and awkward too and I think that’s really fitting for the lead track on an EP called ‘Maserati Anxiety Designed’. What we’d all do to be bathing in anything other than nostalgia right now, huh?”
Last week, Lanham also debuted his new solo moniker T Truman with the release of the single ‘Holiday’ which has seen Truman team up with his close friend and frequent collaborator Geoff Roberts who acts as co-writer and co-producer.
