Far Out Magazine’s Track of the Day this fine close-summer Saturday celebrates not just another great single from an searingly exciting band, but also the birth of a brand new label.
Yep, it’s Spanish garage-pop trio The Parrots with ‘I Did Something Wrong’, which will be released on “7 October 5th to mark the launch of Shacklewell Records.
As most Londoners may have already twigged, the label has indeed been set up by the hugely popular Dalston pub and gig venue, The Shacklewell Arms, with the help of its pop-up record store, Black Wax.
‘I Did Something Wrong’ is by no means a new creation, with the track having first surfaced back in 2013, but keen fans will no doubt be delighted to discover they can now get their hands on a physical copy within a matter of weeks.
What’s more, following on from their London residency that saw them tear the Shacklewell apart, The Parrots will return to the UK for 13 new dates next month, including headline shows and support sets with Spring King and Hooton Tennis Club.
