The Parrots enjoy the sunshine on ‘Girl’

Madrid’s finest The Parrots have come back with another sunshining track destined to rock your hips and purse your lips, a typically on-topic Track of the Day, it’s The Parrots with ‘Girl’.

Recorded down by the sea in Cádiz at the studios of much-loved Spanish sound engineer Paco Loco and produced by the Horrors Tom Furse, the song still keeps the identity of the band at the forefront of our minds. Somewhat chaotic but always drenched in fun (and beer), ‘Girl’ is another example of what makes The Parrots great.

Talking about the new song the band said: “For us this is a very special song, after years working in the same way, we decided to take a bold step and took Tom Furse on board. His views and advice while producing our next songs made us take a leap to the next level, and open our minds to new creative visions.”

Tom had this to say “Girl is a perfectly formed piece of sun tinged garage pop that shows The Parrots have both attitude and songwriting chops to spare – the only challenge was not messing around with it too much.”
