A new series of 'The Osbournes' is "closest" its ever been according to Kelly Osbourne

Kelly Osbourne has revealed that the family are the “closest” they’ve ever been to bringing back the hit reality tv show The Osbournes. Running on MTV from 2002-2005, it followed the family of metal icon Ozzy Osbourne.

The fashion designer and singer, who was a teen when the show began, is now 35 and claims that there has never been a stronger chance that the family would revive the show.

Speaking to People, Kelly said: “I’m not joking, every single year about every three months or so someone else gives us another offer and we keep saying no. It keeps coming ’round.” Osbourne revealed that, “Right now there’s another offer on the table and I think this is the closest we’ve ever come to accepting one. But whether that will happen or not, I don’t know.”

Her reservations are naturally centred on the family’s welfare – having experienced the emotional and physical demand a reality show can have on an adolescent let alone a child.

The show would be a lot harder to complete she explained, “We’ve got other people to think about,” she said. “My brother [Jack has] got three kids. Do we want that life for them without them being old enough to choose if they want to do it or not, like my brother and I were?”

It remains to be seen whether the reality series will get a second shot but after re-watching some of these clips, we hope they do.
