The Orielles are here to wash away the doldrums of Tuesday with a double-header of joy and bounce. They’ve shared two new tracks, the first titled ‘Bobbi’s Second World’ and the second is a re-working of Peggy Gou’s ‘It Makes You Forget (itgehane)’ – so we’ve given you a Track of the Day double! You lucky swine.

Following their debut album ‘Silver Dollar Moment’ The Orielles, a disturbingly youthful group, have stuck to their guns. ‘Bobbi’s Second World’ is a pulsating bunch of meandering wires electrified with a heavy dose of funk. It cheaps and chirps in all the right places and feels fresh and full of the kind of vigour one normally gets from tequilas at dawn.

The flipside of this coin is a cover of Korean DJ Peggy Gou’s ‘It Makes You Forget (itgehane)’. It’s an homage to the original but with the spectacular spin of a band very much in their moment. It’s an equally pumping tune that’s certain to get your blood bouncing.

These tracks come with the news of a huge tour set for the coming months. Based on these two tracks and their previous outings, we’d strongly suggest that you buy tickets as soon as humanly possible.
