The National's Matt Berninger has shared a social distancing playlist


As the coronavirus outbreak continues to keep people in their homes across the world, The National’s Matt Berninger has shared his playlist made for social distancing.

The National were recently forced to cancel a host of upcoming shows due to the COVID-19 outbreak but lead singer Berninger has shared a playlist to keep the spirits up.

“Getting a chance to catch up on so much amazing music,” the frontman wrote on his Instagram stories. “I’m doing a weekly Spotify playlist called Social Distancing Distortion.”

The playlist is chock-full of some classic numbers. Beginning with Social Distortion’s ‘Story of My Life’ and Chris Isaak’s ‘Graduation Day’ it goes on to include artists such as Lucy Dacus, Nick Drake, The Breeders and Neil Young.

It comes as many artists take to social media to keep spirits of their fans high amid the unprecedented situation. For now, hunker down and listen to Matt Berninger’s ‘Social Distancing Distortion’ playlist.
