The Lemon Twigs share new single ‘No One Holds You (Closer Than The One You Haven’t Met)’

The brothers D’Addario, AKA The Lemon Twigs, have shared a brand new track ‘No One Holds You (Closer Than The One You Haven’t Met)’.

The duo, hailing from Long Island, is ready to share their new record next month with Songs For The General Public arriving through 4AD on August 21st. The latest single is another dose of unique rock.

Following on from previous releases ‘The One’, ‘Moon’, and ‘Live I Favor of Tomorrow’, the new single is a typically bouncing tune. ‘No One Holds You…’ is a classic Lemon Twigs song as they straddle retromania with a fresh new take.

The track is steeped in references to the big pop composers of the past, like Brian Wilson and Paul McCartney and sees yet more proof that The Lemon Twigs are cut from a different cloth.

The song is about “failed relationships and romantic fantasies” and sees the band lament, “No one compares to the one that you invented in your head“.

The album has been written and recorded in their Long Island home and is imbued with the group’s unique style.
