The Drums announce tour and share new track

The Drums have announced not only a huge tour but also the release of a benefit single for the people of Mexico. Titled aptly ‘Meet Me In Mexico’ it sees Johnny Pierce and the band put their patented sound to another trip across the border. The release follows 2017’s ABysmal Thoughts album.

All Bandcamp proceeds for the song will go towards organizations (Reconstruir México, Lago Tanganica 67) committed to re-building in the wake of the fatal Mexican earthquake that occurred in September 2017.

“I am grateful beyond measure for the love poured out to me from my Mexican and Mexican-American fans,” said the Drums’ Jonny Pierce in a statement. “I contribute much of the longevity of my career to their devotion and passion for the work I put into the world. I wrote this song when I had reached a mountaintop of frustration with Donald Trump and his Country Club of Dumb Americans.”

The band have also announced a huge tour, with all the details on their site. Do something good on this Friday and buy the track from bandcamp and feel good about yourself.
