Welcome back to a world of The Charlatans. Easily one of the most underrated bands form the 90’s The Charlatans are still capable of turning out a great album. Different Days is their thirteenth, and if the huge volume of work they have been afforded to create doesn’t warrant checking it out then this new video almost certainly will push you over the edge.
Following on from an affirming few years for the band, having their last LP chart in the Top 10 as well as some sold out tours and a few glasto sets for good measure, Different Days has a lot to live up to. The album features an incredible array of feature artist, from Paul Weller to the c rime writer Ian Rankin – that should whet your whistle.
The first single to be released from this new album is ‘Plastic Machinery’ and featuring the one and only Johnny Marr, it is vintage Charlatans. Shot in Barcelona, the video alludes to the band’s own confidence in their work. A refreshing thing indeed.
