The Big Moon are offering online guitar lessons to fans as coronavirus pandemic forces self-isolation

The Big Moon member Jules Jackson is reaching out to fans of the band to offer personal guitar lessons as coronavirus pandemic forces thousands of people into self-isolation.

The ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease was first officially identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei in China. As of March 20th, more than 246,774 cases of COVID-19 have been officially confirmed but the actual number is thought to be much higher due to substantial under-reporting of cases.

With more than 10,062 people having died from the virus, COVID-19 has now spread into more than 150 other countries—including mainland Europe, South America and North America. Given the exponential growth in cases in countries like Italy and Spain, the WHO have now stated that Europe was the current centre of the pandemic.

Now, as the band attempt to raise some funds to keep the group and their collaborators alive, Jackson is offering a chance to pass on her skills with guitar lessons/

“BIG MOON SCHOOL OF ROCK: I can play guitar, let me teach you. I can teach you any songs you like, but I know big moon songs better than anyone else on earth. Beginners extremely welcome.“

They added: “£20 for a half-hour sesh on zoom/skype, all money goes direct to keeping band and crew alive for the foreseeable future. Apply for lessons via direct message on Insta or twitter and I’ll send the details xx PS – first lesson: this is not how you hold it.”
