The Beatles to turn historic site of their final performance into new fan experience

Apple Corps have confirmed The Beatles are opening their first-ever fan experience at the home of their former headquarters.

3 Savile Row in Mayfair, London, is a building steeped in Beatles history, not only serving as the headquarters for Apple Corps, but also where Let It Be was recorded and the site of the band’s final public performance on January 30th, 1969.

Apple Corps previously left the building in 1976, but now it is back in their hands after 50 years. ‘The Beatles at 3 Savile Row’, which boasts seven stories, is set to open for the public for the first time in 2027.

It promises to include never-before-seen material, including “extensive archives, rotating exhibitions, a fan store, and the recreation of the original studio where Let it Be was recorded.

In a statement, Paul McCartney remarked, “It was such a trip to get back to 3 Savile Row recently and have a look around. There are so many special memories within the walls, not to mention the rooftop. The team have put together some really impressive plans and I’m excited for people to see it when it’s ready.”

Meanwhile, Ringo Starr was extremely succinct with his words on the exciting venture, simply stating, “Wow, it’s like coming home.”

Apple Corps’ CEO Tom Greene also shared his joy, commenting, “We’re thrilled to bring Apple Corps back to its spiritual home and give The Beatles fans something truly special.”

He added, “Every single day, fans are taking pictures of the outside of 3 Savile Row – but next year they can go in and explore all seven floors of the iconic building, including the rooftop where even the railings remain the same from that famous day in 1969.”

Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, has described the new fan experience as “hugely exciting”, saying, “It will celebrate one of the most influential bands of all time and will captivate Londoners and visitors from across the globe.”

The opening of 3 Savile Row to the public coincides with Sam Mendes’ upcoming set of biopics on the Fab Four, The Beatles: A Four Film Cinematic Event, which is set to arrive in cinemas in April 2028.

Mendes has praised the move to open up 3 Savile Row for fans, stating “there is something special in the air at Savile Row”, before adding, “How wonderful that fans will now have a chance to see it on screen and in person.”

More information about 3 Savile Row is set to arrive in due course.
