Terry Crews set to star alongside Dave Bautista in ‘The Killer’s Game’

Terry Crews is to star alongside Dave Bautista in the new Action-Comedy, The Killer’s Game.

The JJ. Perry film is also set to feature Ben Kingsley and Sofia Boutella, which recently finished filming. Crews will be playing a character that was initially supposed to be played by Ice Cube. His reasons for dropping out of the movie are unknown.

The Killer’s Game, based on a novel by Jay Bonansinga’s, follows a veteran assassin, played by Bautista, who “is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and authorises a hit on himself to avoid the pain that is destined to follow. But soon after, he finds out that he was misdiagnosed – and must fend off an army of former colleagues trying to kill him.”

James Coyne and Rand Ravich wrote the screenplay, while Andrew Lazar, Steve Richards, and Kia Jam serve as producers. On behalf of Dogbone Entertainment, Bautista and Jonathan Meisner will be responsible for executive production alongside Scott Lambert. Co-producers are Jake Katofsky and Vanessa Humphrey.

Crews is best known for his role on the long-running NBC comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The series ended in 2021 after eight seasons.

As of yet, there is no set date for the release date provided for The Killer’s Game, but as it has now finished filming, more details are expected to arrive soon.

Meanwhile, Bautista recently appeared in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two alongside Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya and Austin Butler.

In a four-and-a-half-star review of Dune: Part Two, Far Out wrote: “Dune simply has to be seen on the big screen to be truly experienced; any lesser viewing negates its Lawrence of Arabia-indebted cinematography, captivating action sequences and a score of a stultifying, almost deafening quality.”
