New teaser released for Paul Thomas Anderson’s ‘One Battle After Another’

A teaser trailer for the new Paul Thomas Anderson film One Battle After Another has been released. The clip shows a brief 20 seconds of the film, which will star Leonardo DiCaprio, Regina Hall, Chase Infiniti, Sean Penn and Benicio Del Toro.

One Battle After Another marks the first time the acclaimed filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson and movie star Leonardo DiCaprio have worked together. According to the studio, Warner Bros, the full trailer for the movie will be released next week; however, an official date has yet to be confirmed.

Fans are being kept in suspense about the upcoming release. Very little is known about the plot of the movie, and the film title was only officially confirmed 24 hours before the teaser trailer was released.

Speculation surrounding the film states that it will be Anderson’s most expensive project to date. The events in the film are loosely inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s Vineland. The novel takes place in the ‘80s but contains flashbacks to the ‘60s to highlight the cultural clashes between Americans during this period.

Similarities can be drawn between the novel and the teaser trailer, which sees Leonarda DiCaprio take to the screen in a gun-toting, action-packed 20 seconds.

Upon confirming the film’s name, Warner Bros also announced that the release date would be moved from August 8th to September 26th. According to a source from Variety, the date change was necessary so that theatres in America could install “VistaVision projection systems to accommodate their director’s vision.”
