Tame Impala perform two tracks in an empty stadium for FIFA 21 world premiere
Tame Impala took to the empty stadium HBF Park in Perth for a very special performance of their songs ‘Elephant’ and ‘Is It True’ from Kevin Parker’s repertoire as part of the world premiere for FIFA 21.
The new football game will arrive next week on October 9th but that doesn’t mean fans from around the globe haven’t been getting excited about the preeminent football game’s return to the shelves. Of course, as any true FIFA player will tell you, half of what makes the game so brilliant is the music.
This year will be no different and to celebrate, Tame Impala got together to perform in the empty football stadium to perform two tracks. Parker and his band sang ‘Elephant’ from 2012’s Lonerism as well as ‘Is It True’ taken from the band’s 2020 album The Slow Rush.
The latter track will feature on this year’s official soundtrack alongside artists such as Aitch, Alfie Templeman, Royal Blood and many, many more.
The performance is far from legendary here, in fact, it quite closely resembles both the performance they recently shared for NPR’s Tiny Desk and their appearance on Fallon, but nevertheless, it still shows off the skill Parker has at his disposal.
