The 1978 album by The Jam Paul Weller was finally proud of: “I found my feet”
A pivotal record.

The Jam were an English rock band formed in Woking, Surrey, in 1972 by singer, songwriter and guitarist Paul Weller, bassist Bruce Foxton and drummer Rick Buckler.
Emerging during the first wave of British punk, the band combined the energy of punk rock with the melodic sensibilities of mod revival, power pop and classic British rock. Throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s, The Jam became one of Britain’s most successful and influential bands, releasing acclaimed albums including ‘All Mod Cons’, ‘Setting Sons’ and ‘Sound Affects’.
Known for socially conscious lyrics, sharp songwriting and Weller’s distinctive style, the band achieved 18 consecutive UK Top 40 singles before unexpectedly disbanding in 1982 at the height of their popularity.
Foxton recently postponed two shows and his health has been the centre of speculation.
