The song Paul Weller wrote in tribute to a 1960s genius of British rock
Brilliant.

Paul Weller is an English singer, songwriter and musician whose career has made him one of the most influential figures in British rock music. Emerging as the frontman of The Jam during the punk and new wave explosion of the late 1970s, Weller later reinvented himself with the sophisticated soul and jazz influences of The Style Council before embarking on a critically acclaimed solo career.
Often referred to as ‘The Modfather’, he has continually evolved his sound, incorporating elements of rock, folk, soul, psychedelia and electronic music while maintaining a reputation for sharp songwriting and uncompromising artistry.
Across more than five decades, Weller has released numerous acclaimed albums and remains one of Britain’s most respected and enduring musicians.
Foxton recently postponed two shows and his health has been the centre of speculation.
“A really beautiful record.”
An otherworldly talent…
Inventing his brand of rock and roll.
“Every track’s great.”
“I’d just become a prick by the end…”
The Modfather came out on top.
