Contrary to his punk leanings…

John Lydon, also known by his stage name ‘Johnny Rotten’ was an incredibly influential figure in the late 70s punk scene in London. His band, the Sex Pistols, became one of the most controversial bands at the time, with their outspoken ideologies of anarchy and rebellion.
He worked alongside other British artists, Sid Vicious, Steve Jones, Glen Matlock and Paul Cook. Together they formed the Sex Pistols, in which they became pioneers of the British punk movement and working-class youth rebellion.
As of late, John Lydon has been performing in the band, Public Image Ltd, where they have reached great success, still creating music and performing tours.
