“Like no other”: America’s most unique band, according to Heart
“Really accessible.”
Heart are an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in the early 1970s by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson. Blending hard rock, folk rock and arena rock, the band became one of the most successful rock acts of the 1970s and 1980s through powerful songwriting, virtuosic musicianship and Ann Wilson’s acclaimed vocal performances. Albums including ‘Dreamboat Annie’, ‘Little Queen’ and ‘Heart’ produced enduring classics such as ‘Barracuda’, ‘Magic Man’, ‘Crazy on You’ and ‘Alone’. Heart have sold tens of millions of records worldwide and are widely recognised for breaking barriers as one of the first female-fronted rock bands to achieve sustained mainstream success. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
