The primal side of rock.

Ginger Baker was an English musician, songwriter and composer best known as the drummer and co-founder of Cream. Widely regarded as one of the greatest and most innovative drummers in rock history, Baker revolutionised rock percussion by blending jazz technique, African rhythms and improvisation into a powerful, technically demanding style. His work with Cream, alongside Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce, helped define blues rock and psychedelic rock during the late 1960s, while later projects including Blind Faith, Ginger Baker’s Air Force and his collaborations with African musicians showcased his eclectic musical interests. Famed for his fiery personality as much as his extraordinary musicianship, Baker’s influence can be heard across generations of rock, jazz and heavy metal drummers.
