Danny DeVito is an American actor, filmmaker and producer celebrated for his distinctive screen presence, comedic timing and versatility across film, television and theatre.
He rose to prominence as the acerbic taxi dispatcher Louie De Palma in the sitcom ‘Taxi’, a role that earned him both an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. DeVito went on to build a prolific film career with memorable performances in ‘Ruthless People’, ‘Twins’, ‘Batman Returns’, ‘Get Shorty’ and ‘Matilda’, which he also directed. Since 2006, he has introduced himself to a new generation of audiences through his portrayal of Frank Reynolds in ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’.
As a producer, he co-founded Jersey Films, helping bring acclaimed films including ‘Pulp Fiction’, ‘Erin Brockovich’ and ‘Garden State’ to the screen.
