Sylvester Stallone will not face sexual assault charges over rape allegations

Sylvester Stallone will not face sexual assault charges in regards to historic allegations made against him.

Last year a woman contacted Santa Monica police in November, claiming that the Hollywood actor sexually assaulted her on two occasions. The dates of the alleged attacks are claimed to have happened in 987 and 1990.

However, the prosecutors in California found there was “insufficient evidence” against the now 72-year-old actor. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office also found the allegations fell outside of the statute of limitations.

The woman, who claimed she had a had “a consensual relationship” in 1987, could not corroborate her account under police questioning. Stallone said that the allegation was “completely fabricated”.

According to the charge evaluation sheet, the “victim and suspect had a consensual relationship in 1987. The victim alleged assaults in 1987 and 1990 and provided fresh complaint witnesses.

“However, none of the witnesses corroborated victim’s allegations. The additional investigation did not provide any further corroboration.”
