Sylvan Esso share new song 'Ferris Wheel' and announce new album

One of our favourite electro duos in all the land, Sylvan Esso, have announced their return with the first taste of album number three, the incredible new single ‘Ferris Wheel’.

It’s archetypal Sylvan Esso as the modular backing allows Amelia Meath’s unique vocals to shine. If you’re a fan then you’re about to be really pleased. What’s more, the new single arrives as the first taster of their new album, providing the title track of the record. The new single follows ‘What If’, which will be the album’s opening song.

“It’s a record about being increasingly terrified of the world around you and looking inward to remember all the times when loving other people seemed so easy, so that you can find your way back to that place,” the band said in a statement.

Considering the song is about “discovering your power and awkwardly figuring out how to wield it,” the track is remarkably assured. It’s the duo back at their best and bringing their unique sound to the fore.

To add a little extra spice, the song also comes equipped with a neon-dripping video which sees Meath don her dancing shoes. Eventually, the track erupts in smoke, sparklers and all things magical.

Watch the video for ‘Ferris Wheel’ below and grab the album on September 25th via Loma Vista.
