Swimming Tapes share their new track ‘Easy Strand’

Yep, that’s the sound of the last embers of summer slowly burning out. But before they do, pull up a sand covered beach as a seat, scooch closer to the fire and enjoy the new song from Swimming Tapes ‘Easy Strand’ our Track of the Day.

The song is a gentle and lilting walk along the beach. It feels light and airy but still has the slight nip in the air, a gentle reminder of winter. It’s an indie-pop gem, filled with childhood memories and that first kiss, it’s a song with a lot of heart.

The band say: “‘Easy Strand’ is a supportive nod to our younger selves about how the passing of time distorts memories. Moments you thought were trivial and pointless actually remain embedded in your memory as beautiful, worthwhile and meaningful times. It was written as part of a collection of songs for our album but when everything was finished we felt it didn’t quite sit right with the other tracks on the record, therefore we’re giving it its own moment in the sun.”

The new song follows 2017’s EP Soft Sea Blue. The band also go out on tour later this year. You can see the dates below the brand new song ‘Easy Strand’ from Swimming Tapes, our Track of the Day.
