Swedish House Mafia set to reunite for Ibiza performance

Swedish House Mafia, the house music supergroup consisting of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, are reuniting for a major performance in Ibiza.

On July 26th, Swedish House Mafia will mark their only appearance on the White Isle in 2019 with a headline performance at Ushuaïa Ibiza.

The group, who split up in 2012 following a sell-out world tour, have been teasing a major comeback for 12 months now and, during a Axwell Λ Ingrosso show held in New York last year, the duo suggested that an upcoming Swedish House Mafia tour for 2019 was in the offering with Axwell asking, “What do we do now? This is a big move. This has never happened before. Should we cancel the Swedish House Mafia gig we’re planning next year? We are not sure they are ready for Swedish House Mafia in 2019,” to the crowd before closing the set.

This was later confirmed by Steve Angello in a separate interview when he said: “It’s happening, obviously… Not all the details are set, but we will be back in 2019.”

While a tour is yet to be announced, the group will head to Ibiza for the first time in seven years having been confirmed for the Playa d’en Bossa open-air adult playground having previously held a full residency in 2011 and 2012.
