Surf Curse share the new single 'Hour of the Wolf' ahead of the new album

One of the best live bands in L.A., Surf Curse have released a brand new track ‘Hour of the Wolf’ ahead of the release of their new album Heaven Surrounds You. It’s a stonker of a single and is our Track of the Day.

The new track is a typical song from the hearts and minds of Surf Curse. The band comprised of Nick Rattigan and Jacob Rubeck have a way of threading melody through almost anything. Whether it’s got a punch or is holding back the tears, its always got a bop.

‘Hour of the Wolf’ has a similar seam of melody running through it despite the overarching theme of melancholy the song is built upon. The band offered a cryptic clue on what the story of the song might be: “Look close. There is filth. Rotten gold. What good is blood if not to be swallowed. Whole and clean”

Heaven Surrounds You, the new album, will be released September 13th on Danger Collective Records. Produced by Jarvis Taveniere (Sunflower Bean, Woods), Heaven Surrounds You is a coming-of-age epic, inspired by the many cult films the band cherished throughout their formative years spent in Reno, Las Vegas, and finally LA.
