Today’s Track of the Day is the latest tasty release from B-Towners, Superfood, out today on Infectious Music.
The thing that is immediately obvious when listening to Right On Satellite is how much the band’s sound has matured, even in the short time since we last heard them earlier this year with the mighty Mam EP.
While all the charm of something classically British remains, the band’s extensive time on the road becomes inherently obvious here with this latest release is starting to sound truer to their extremely popular live shows.
It was hard to listen to Mam without thinking of Blur’s early days (not that that is necessarily a bad thing) and while that homage to Brit-Pop remains – Right on Satellite is starting to sound more like something Superfood can proudly call their own.
To coincide with the release, Superfood are playing a handful of FREE gigs in London, in association with DIY Magazine, along with a host of summer festival dates, if you’ve not checked out their live show yet, we suggest you book in now!
