Sufjan Stevens set to release live album from his ‘Carrie & Lowell’ tour


A brand new live album is on its way from Sufjan Stevens. The rip is from his 2015 ‘Carrie & Lowell’ tour and even features his cover of Drake’s ‘Hotline Bling’, I mean, why wouldn’t you?

Taking to his website to announce the news, Sufjan said: “Today is Lowell’s birthday! As a gift to Lowell (and the rest of the world), I’ve decided to release Carrie & Lowell Live, which will include our complete set from November 9, 2015 at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center in South Carolina. If you missed the show, don’t worry—we will bring it to you!

“Release date is set for April 28, 2017. Full video of the show will be available on YouTube and Vimeo, and audio will be available for streaming and download on all reasonable platforms. More info, set list, etc. available at Asthmatic Kitty. Can’t wait for you to see it. Happy Birthday Lowell!”

The announcement came alongside a sneak peak with the release of the title track from his latest album, which you can see below.
