Suede are set to live-stream their classic Love & Poison concert film in full on YouTube this Friday at 7pm BST for free arriving as the perfect nostalgia-based way to start your weekend.
The film sees the band take to London’s legendary Brixton Academy on May 16, 1993, less than two months after they released their self-titled debut album, which was later made available on VHS in November of that year.
The Britpop icons have now announced that they would be broadcasting a “newly remastered” version of the film via their official YouTube channel this Friday at 7pm BST. Their set saw them bundle through classics such as ‘Animal Nitrate’, ‘Metal Mickey’ and finishing in style with ‘So Young’.
Suede also recently rescheduled their tour celebrating 25 years of their Coming Up album and will now head out in April 2021, adding shows in Leeds and Birmingham to existing dates in Edinburgh, Manchester and London.
“It’s probably no surprise but we’re going to have to put back the Coming Up anniversary shows until April 2021,” the band wrote. “After talking with the promoters and venues it’s become clear that there’s no way of putting on the shows we’d like to do while still guaranteeing the safety of the audience.”
