Stream Leon Bridges’ debut album in full now

Far Out’s favourite new soulful voice Leon Bridges has made his debut album Coming Home available to stream for a limited time ahead of its release.

The record does not get its full unveiling until June 23rd, when it will be put out by Columbia. However, fans can hear it in its entirety by heading to NPR and following this link.

Keen readers will probably already be well aware of single releases like ‘Better Man’ and the album’s title track, which see the Texan artist channel the smooth soulful vibes and encapsulating tone of the likes of Sam Cooke and Jackie Wilson.

Throw in some catchy choruses and production team that included members of stateside blues-rockers White Denim, and you’re most certainly onto a winner.

It could be said the record isn’t exactly reinventing the wheel, but must it? In this case it definitely seems to be a scenario of ‘it it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’.

But don’t just take our word for it, make your own mind up. Head to NPR and stream the record now and buy it via Columbia Records from June 23rd.

Listen to ‘Better Man’ below.
