Sting announces details of 2026 US tour

Sting has announced an extension to his current United States tour, adding a string of dates which will take him back out on the road in May 2026.

The former Police frontman has been touring for over 18 months now, first launching his Sting 3.0 show back in May 2024 alongside his guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas. The trio have taken in dates all over the world, with a few still left to see out in America before the end of this year, including in New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Indiana over the course of the next month.

However, the rocker has now confirmed that he will return to the country in only a matter of months, as he is set to recommence the tour with a string of dates in May 2026, starting at the Choctaw Grand Theatre in Durant, Oklahoma, on May 9th.

He will continue his tour throughout the month with various gigs taking place throughout the states of Texas, Georgia, and North Carolina, before concluding his run on May 25th at the Allianz Amphitheatre at Riverfront in Richmond, Virginia.

It comes as Sting is also set to take on another particularly high-profile American gig in February, before his own tour kicks off. It was announced last week that he will perform at a Super Bowl spin-off concert in San Francisco, California, at the city’s Palace of Fine Arts on February 6th, two days before the landmark game is due to take place.

However, the frontman has also been mired in controversy recently, as his former Police bandmates are in the process of suing him for what they allege is owed royalties for their classic hit ‘Every Breath You Take’. In response, Sting’s lawyers are claiming that Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers have actually been “substantially overpaid”.

Tickets for Sting’s new North American dates in May 2026 will go on sale on November 7th at 10am local time.
