St. Vincent shares cover of Led Zeppelin song ‘Stairway to Heaven’

St. Vincent has shared a glorious rendition of Led Zeppelin song ‘Stairway to Heaven’.

Annie Clark jokingly captioned the cover by writing: “Since guitar stores have been closed, I thought you might have missed the sound of someone fumbling through ‘Stairway To Heaven‘”.

St. Vincent then comically handed out honourable mentions to other fumbling guitar shop classics ‘Smoke On The Water’, ‘Sweet Home Alabama’, ‘Black Dog’ and ‘Wherever I May Roam’.

Clark recently announced new project St. Vincent: Words and Music in collaboration with Audible which will see her run through her expansive lyrics and music while discussing the impact of some of her influences.

“Life is strange and full of uncertainty right now,” Clark said in a statement about the project: “But music is a constant. Music transcends the chaos. It’s always been there for me when I’ve needed it — whether in times of fear, heartbreak, anger, joy.”

Clark added: “So I’m thrilled to be working with Audible to share my story and my music, especially at a time when music is such a crucial part of coping and getting through these unprecedented days.”
