Squarepusher returns with “hallucinatory” single ‘Stor Eiglass’

Tom Jenkinson aka Squarepusher has unveiled the second track to be heard from his upcoming album Damogen Furies, which will be released by Warp Records April 20th.

‘Stor Eiglass’ is a layered piece of electronica, but sounds a little more ‘in your face’ than some of the more recent output that has come from Jenkinson.

The track peaks, troughs and goes off on tangents in a way that will no doubt see it littered throughout DJ sets up and down the country when the festivals arrive this summer.

Speaking about the new record, Jenkinson said: “Through this record I aim to explore as forcefully as possible the hallucinatory, the nightmarish and the brutally visceral capacities of electronic music.”

Damogen Furies will be Squarepusher’s first full release since his Music for Robots projects, which saw him charge Japanese-manufactured drones with the task of playing his compositions.
