Spiritualized tease first new music in 6 years

Spiritualized have suggested the announcement that new music is on the way.

The influential band, formed by Jason Pierce who is often known as J. Spaceman having formerly been an integral part of pioneering band Spacemen 3, last released an album in in the shape of 2012’s Sweet Heart Sweet Light.

Taking to Twitter to ramp up some excitement, Spiritualized shared a morse code message that spells out “A Perfect Miracle,” which is also the name of a song they’ve played live in recent years but have yet to officially release.

In 2016, Pierce said that the next album he produces with Spiritualized will undoubtedly be his last under that name. He said: “I’m a lot older now and in a weird way I think it’s my last record. “I’ve already covered so much ground and already done a load of ideas. There’s no point doing something unless it’s better than that. It’s mentally and physically such a taxing and demanding year or so, and there’s no point doing it unless it’s really something else.

“I’ve never bowed to pressure and done anything I’d considered a bad move artistically. And I won’t start for anybody.”
