Spielbergs find their legs on new single ‘Five On It’
Norwegian trio Spielbergs are an eclectic bunch. Having toyed around with a host of different genres across the emo/shoegaze/alt-rock spectrum but it feels like on new song ‘Five On It’ the band have found their path. It’s our Track of the Day.
With a debut album on the way titled This Is Not The End the band are looking to really make 2019 their year and judging by their latest output that target will surely be hit sooner rather than later. Previous tracks found a few different genres to use as hosts but the newest song sees the noise take over and the fuzz win out.
The laconic themes of the song are perfectly matched by the distorted sound of the band as the fuzzy guitars, heavy bass and drums come together to cloud Mads Baklien’s apathetic lyrics. It’s the perfect dose of indie-rock insulin to make January feel a little more bearable.
