Earlier this month a picture came out of The Libertines frontman, Pete Doherty, completing a mammoth breakfast challenge in his adopted home of Margate. Now that triumph has been immortalised in a spectacular, if unflattering, mural.
The image spanned social media far and wide last week after his triumph over the breakfast challenge at Cliftonville’s Dalby Cafe in Margate, it even lead many to have a giggle at the apparent consumption of his coat.
Although Doherty obviously didn’t eat the garment he did put down a huge meal of four rashers of bacon, four eggs, four sausages, hash browns, onion rings, bubble and squeak, two slices of bread, and a quarter-pounder burger and chips in under 20 minutes.
Amazing work from #petedoherty smashing the #dalbycafe breakfast – It's been a long time!!!https://t.co/DLOMTzbzVA pic.twitter.com/zCqiUgscp4

Let that sink in a second…
Right, now you have as little time to digest that sheer quantity of food as Doherty did 4 rashers of bacon we can show you the quite brilliant mural in his honour which was spotted in Southend-On-Sea.
