Some of the world’s finest lyricists collaborate on book project
Justin Vernon, King Krule, Laura Marling, Mica Levi and Alison Mosshart of The Kills are among some of the musicians who are contributing original stories and short films to a new book project.
‘Stories For Ways and Means’ features writing from 30 musicians as well as some short films to create the collaborative project. Book proceeds will go to some education-focused non-profit organisations ‘Room to Read’ and ‘Pencils of Promise’. The book will feature “outer art, weird images, graphic displays of nasty stuff and cuss words”.
More contributors include Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Pixies’ Frank Black, Devendar Banhart and Kathleen Hanna will all add to the decade long project started by Jeff Antebi the head of Waxploitation. The videos come from Joey Bada$$ and Danny De Vito to name two.
