Smokey Robinson denies new sexual battery claims from man and woman
Smokey Robinson has denied new sexual battery claims from a male accuser, as well as another female accuser.
The veteran musician, aged 85, is also being sued by four female accusers, along with his wife, Frances Gladney Robinson, who served as housekeepers at his property. In May, they accused him of sexual assault, battery, and false imprisonment in a lawsuit, which Robinson denies.
Now, in a new lawsuit obtained by TMZ, two more alleged victims, one male, using the pseudonym John Doe, and one female, using the pseudonym Jane Doe, want to joined the lawsuit.
Per the legal documents, the male accuser claims to have begun working at Robinson’s Chatsworth residence in 2013. He alleges that while he was cleaning cars, the musician would come outside on numerous occasions in his underwear and fondle his erect penis in the view of John Doe.
The claim also alleges, “Smokey Robinson’s sexual arousal was vivid and unmistakable during these incidents.”
Around 2022, it is alleged that Robinson grabbed John Doe’s hand “without consent and attempted to force it onto his erect penis.”

John Doe says he was fired after the incident, but returned to work a year later after Robinson’s wife requested him to do so. However, he alleges that Robinson continued to behave inappropriately.
He claims he stopped working for the family on a permanent basis “after learning of similar conduct toward other victims and out of concern for his own well-being.”
Meanwhile, the fifth Jane Doe, who also wants to join the suit, alleges that Robinson grabbed her hand and attempted to force her to touch his erect penis on more than ten occasions.
Robinson’s lawyer, Christopher Frost, denied the new allegations on his client’s behalf, telling TMZ, “These plaintiffs are part of the same group of people who have conspired together against the Robinsons and are layering out their claims for maximum adverse publicity.”
Frost continued, “We have already explained in the Robinsons’ lawsuit against this group for defamation, civil conspiracy and elder abuse that, all along, this has been an organized, avaricious campaign to extract money from an 85-year-old legend. This group of people, who hide behind anonymity, and their attorneys seek global publicity while making the ugliest of false allegations.”
The legal representative concluded, “We have sought the Court’s intervention multiple times to require these anonymous individuals to divulge essential information, turn over relevant evidence, and to share deposition transcripts with the District Attorney. For obvious reasons, this group of Does and their attorneys refuse to be forthcoming with all the evidence possible to investigate their own claims. Once the public can see the truth, their avaricious motives and fabricated claims will be revealed.”
