Slime is about to drop the perfect Sunday afternoon record

We’ve all woken up on Sunday with that feeling of impending doom, self-inflicted from the night before.

There’s a tornado in your head and whatever raucous hedonism it was that soundtracked the previous evening, chances are you’re looking for something a little more soothing this time around.

When the term ‘chill-out’ is mentioned alongside electronica it can often strike the fear of God into those who loathed the wishy-washy, coffee table muso phenomenon that became popular in the 90s.

But nowadays we are in a fortunate position where the UK is blessed with a host of producers possessing the capacity to bring downtempo electronic music to life.

Cue Slime – aka Will Archer. After relocating from his native Newcastle to London with a reported 400 tracks ready to unleash, this guy could be about to release one of the albums of the year.

Company will be unveiled by Domino on Friday (August 14th) and the latest preview ‘At Sea Again’ is a sumptuous soundscape featuring a silky yet immersive vocal from Belgian pop giant Selah Sue.

What’s more, Slime will play his first ever London gig at Hoxton Courtyard Theatre on September 2nd. Be there.

Listen to ‘At Sea Again’ by Slime feat. Selah Sue below and get the LP from Friday.
