Slayer say goodbye on the last stop of their farewell tour
Slayer played their final show last night on what was the last stop of their ‘farewell’ tour. The band spent some time saying goodbye to fans before their last song.
The members of metal giants Slayer spent 10 minutes saying emotional farewells to their fans last night after playing their last song, ‘Angel of Death’. It concludes a 40-year touring career.
The band have been on the road since May 2018 and have now concluded a mammoth farewell tour, with their last shows being dubbed The Final Campaign of the Final World Tour.
The final show took place at The Forum in Inglewood, California and saw an emotional end to what is an astonishing touring career spanning four decades. While many are doubting whether this will indeed be the last tour for the band, the last comments from the band seemed to suggest it was.
“Thank you. Thank you very much,” singer Tom Araya said to the audience after they had finished their set. “I want to thank you for sharing your time with us. Time is precious, so I want to thank you for sharing that time with us.”
