CBS Studios has released the first look at the eagerly anticipated Silence Of The Lambs spin-off series which has been given the chilling title of Clarice.
The psychological horror, set in 1993 and a year after the events of The Silence of the Lambs, has been described as a “deep dive into the untold personal story of Clarice Starling as she returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high-stakes political world of Washington, D.C.”
In a project which has been long discussed and planned, Pretty Little Liars actor Rebecca Breeds has been cast in the role of Clarice and will work alongside the likes if Lucca De Oliveira, Devyn A. Tyler, Michael Cudlitz, Marnee Carpenter, Kal Penn, Nick Sandow and more.
Alex Kurtzman, who previously worked on Star Trek, created Clarice alongside Jenny Lumet and hyped up the project by stating: “Hannibal [Lecter] is an incredible character, as is [FBI agent] Will Graham,” Kurtzman said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “But Clarice Starling has a truly unique amazing psychology, and part of why Silence of the Lambs was so wonderful is the film put you so squarely in her shoes,” he added.
“The Silence Is Over,” CBS teased a clip which was released to social media with a voiceover asking: “What do you do with all your rage?”.
