Shitkid shares the brilliant ‘Sugar Town’

The lead single from Shitkid’s upcoming second EP, the effortlessly named EP 2 is the thudding, lo-fi gem ‘Sugar Town’. Out on PNKSLM on March 3rd, based on this track it is going to be an essential listen. The project of the 24 year old Åsa Söderqvist, the project rumbles between lo-fi post punk and catchy pop gems.

The self-titled EP released last spring sparked a few fires and this new one is looking to add fuel to those burning fires. The vocal performance is perfect, channelling a low buzz of punk and a snarl of social dissonance it feels the perfect antithesis to some of the polished Nordic pop we see.

All written, produced and recorded by Åsa herself it speaks of huge, huge talent and vision. With shows around her set scheduled for this year’s Great Escape, we implore you to see Shitkid as soon as you can.
