Shelley Morrison, ‘Will & Grace’ actress, has died aged 83
Shelley Morrison, the actress best known for playing the role of maid Rosario Salazar on Will & Grace, has died at the age of 83.
Morrison’s publicist, Lori DeWaal, told The Associated Press that the actress died after heart failure at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
While appearing in 68 episodes of Will & Grace from 1999 to 2006, emerging as a key part of a cast that claimed victory at the Screen Actors Guild awards for best ensemble in a comedy series.
Sean Hayes, who played Jack McFarland on Will & Grace, paid tribute to Morrison in a post on social media: “She was absolutely hilarious and had the biggest heart,” he wrote.
“She was part of our Will and Grace family and will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to her husband, Walter and her entire family.”
“My heart is heavy. putting Shelley, her beloved husband Walter & their children in the light. thank you for your friendship & partnership, shell. you accomplished wonderful things in this world. you will be missed,” she tweeted.
